Introduction
If you suffer from PMS, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, anxiety, depression, low sex drive, sleep problems or any of the 35 recognized symptoms of peri-menopause or menopause, it’s a safe bet that your hormones need some help.
But it can be a tough decision. What is the best way to handle hormone imbalances? There is a big difference between a woman in her 20′s who is having PMS symptoms and a woman in her early 50′s who has just entered menopause. Many women are getting pre-menopause (also known as peri-menopause) symptoms in their early 30′s. These symptoms can last for 15 years or more!
In this report, I want to open your eyes to a whole new way to look at hormone imbalances in women. I’m going to introduce you to just one fact about hormone problems that can have you feeling and looking better in a matter of days.
If you follow the advice, you can resurrect your mind and body and get your life back in just 90 days. This can all be done without taking hormones of any kind. However, for some women hormone replacement may be a smart option. Once you understand why your hormones are out of balance to begin with, the decision to take hormone replacement or not becomes much easier.
So let’s shine some light on the subject.
What Are Your Options?
Let’s take a look at the three main options and then talk about something you’ve likely never considered that may be the best option of all.
Option # 1—HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy)
If you show up at a doctor’s office with a list of female related symptoms, what’s going to happen? Well, conventional doctors may proceed to hormone drugs without even giving you a blood test. If you’re a younger woman with PMS symptoms, the treatment of choice is birth control pills. If your doctor suspects peri-menopause or menopause symptoms, then two options will likely be discussed with you.
The first are the drugs Premarin or PremPro. Premarin is an estrogen drug that is actually extracted from the urine of pregnant horses. PremPro is a combination of Premarin and a synthetic progestin drug called Provera. They used to hand these drugs out like candy until a large-scale study in 2002 shocked the medical world to its core.
For close to 60 years doctors were prescribing these drugs that they believed helped prevent cancer, stroke, blood clots and many other serious conditions. Instead, once they actually studied these drugs on a large scale they were found to contribute to or cause these same problems.
Your doctor may also discuss with you anti-anxiety/anti-depression medication depending on your symptoms. This became the treatment of choice after Premarin and Provera fell out of favor.
Most conventional doctors today still prescribe Premarin and Provera with caution, birth control pills to younger women with PMS, and anti-anxiety/anti-depression medication depending on the symptoms. Any and all of this is certainly an option for you.
The best option? Well, I wouldn’t advise my mother or loved one do take that route.
Option # 2—BHRT (Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy)
Not long after that shocking study in 2002 about Premarin and Provera, both Oprah and Suzanne Summers started touting the benefits of BHRT (Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy). By 2005, millions of women were using BHRT due to the awareness that was built by Oprah, Suzanne Summers and many others that followed.
Long before Oprah and Suzanne Summers spoke up about bio-identical hormone replacement, there were many doctors here in America quietly giving it to their patients. In Europe, bio-identical hormone replacement has been the treatment of choice for over 50 years!
In the late 1990′s, I interviewed a brilliant endocrinologist named Dr. Dianna Schwarzbein, M.D. I found out later that Dr. Schwarzbein was Suzanne Summers’ doctor!
Dr. Schwarzbein revealed a huge piece of the hormone puzzle that is being overlooked by even the best doctors, and her discoveries are much of what this report is all about. More on this later.
For now let’s answer this question: Is bio-identical hormone replacement the answer to your hormone problems? Well, not necessarily. First, let me tell you what “bio-identical hormone replacement” really means.
The naturally occurring hormones in your body have a certain molecular structure. Bio-identical hormones are exact duplicates of the natural hormones that your glands produce. They are a better choice in my opinion than the hormone drugs Premarin and PremPro because these drugs are very different than the naturally occurring hormones in your body. Bio-identical hormones are considered safer and when used correctly can help resolve a lot of symptoms for the women that really need them.
But even though bio-identical hormone replacement may be a better choice, it may not be your first and best choice. There are now many Anti-aging and Alternative medical doctors that prescribe bio-identical hormone replacement. So, it’s no longer a matter of lack of awareness or availability.
However, we want to find out what is best for you. Bio-identical hormone replacement has its place, but may or may not be right for you.
Option # 3—Phytocrine Supplementation
This term might be new to you, so let me give you a brief explanation. The term “phytocrine” means the use of plant extracts that enhance the function of hormone producing glands and tissue
I’ve had the privilege of researching, interviewing and investigating the work of many of the top experts in Anti-aging and Alternative medicine who treat hormonal imbalances in women.
The most experienced among them take a very conservative, step-by-step approach to balancing hormones. Depending on the age of the women and the severity of her symptoms, they almost always start their treatment with phytocrine plant extracts.
However, here’s a word of caution for you. The vast majority of “natural” supplements for female symptoms are either inadequate or completely useless. Health food stores and the Internet are flooded with products claiming to help your symptoms.
These products are not true “phytocrine” formulations. You need the right kind, the right ratio and the right amount of what are known as phyto-estrogens and phyto-progesterones. A well-formulated phytocrine product can not only help your symptoms but also be used in conjunction with bio-identical hormone replacement.
Although my personal belief and experience say that bio-identical hormone replacement is safer and more effective than the hormone drugs Premarin and Provera, it may not be the best place to start.
If you are having symptoms related to PMS, pre-menopause or menopause and you are not getting the relief you want, then I suggest your start with a proven phytocrine formula that you can trust.
One of the recent breakthroughs in natural medicine for women is the full spectrum standardized extract of the cone of the female hops plant. This unique plant extract is proven to be close to 4 times more effective at helping hot flashes than a placebo and 2 times more effective for other symptoms (depression, loss of libido, mood swings, insomnia).
You’ve probably never heard of either a full spectrum standardized extract or the cone of the female hops plant but the combination is the essence of a phytocrine formula you can trust.
A full spectrum standardized extract is a scientific advancement in the use of safe but highly effective natural compounds. Until the development these extracts you had to either rely on powerful drugs with unbearable side effects or inadequate “natural” supplements that are just to weak to be effective.
The full spectrum standardized extract is the best of both worlds. It has the therapeutic power to be extremely effective and the safety profile of a natural substance.
We created a product called ProEsta because of the pressing need for solutions to female symptoms that didn’t involve the dangers and risks of hormone replacement drugs. In fact, ProEsta is so effective that it can be used in place of or in conjunction with bio-identical hormone replacement.
ProEsta not only contains the full spectrum standardized extract of the cone of the female hops plant but also contains three other full spectrum standardized extracts.
Keep in mind that the vast majority of products for women don’t contain any full spectrum standardized extracts and if they do it’s almost always a watered down version. These specialized extracts are very expensive to produce and are only used by research institutions and a select group of responsible companies.
ProEsta contains the perfect blend of phytocrine plant extracts that help your female hormones estrogen and progesterone in the safest most effective way possible. If you’re under 40 years of age, then it’s highly recommended that you start with a phytocrine formula like ProEsta for at least two months.
You should see a steady improvement in your symptoms and feel significantly better in 8 weeks. If you are over 40 but your symptoms are mild then again use ProEsta for 8 weeks and your improvement should be very noticeable and steady.
If you are over 40, in menopause or after menopause and your symptoms are moderate to severe then it is highly recommended you be evaluated for bio-identical hormone replacement by a qualified professional
It’s also recommended to take ProEsta along with the bio-identical hormone replacement because the natural plant based estrogens and progesterones will allow your doctor to give you the lowest possible effective dose of the actual hormones. This is the main goal with any kind of hormone replacement therapy.
